Resident of Shelter 3 (Teenage boys’ home from aged 13 – 17)

Jay is one of the youngest children at the home. He came to us a completely lost child, with no direction. Education had no role or meaning for him.

Today, Jay is beginning to accept the idea that knowledge is an important basic right. Even though he is not a scholar, he is starting to see that even becoming a chef or an artist requires some learning so that he can become a good, if not great chef – artist.

Jay has a new direction and purpose now. This is what the efforts of MCAN have given him. Direction and purpose.
