The battery consists of Lithium Ion 18650 cells, which do not have a risk of bloating that Lithium Polymer (LiPo) cells do. These cells are manufactured in Korea and Japan. 

Tip: to prolong the life of this power bank (and any of your devices powered by Li-Ion / LiPo), always keep the charge between 25% and 75%.
